The Krautkramer USM 36 is the latest development in Waygate Technologies’s USM range of flaw detectors. It combines the 21st century operating platform with the reliable and robust hardware of Waygate Technologies’s well-established Krautkramer portable flaw detection instruments. It incorporates a range of innovative features to ensure that this new instrument is adopted as the everyday workhorse of flaw detectors by NDT inspectors globally.
The well-established and proven ultrasonic flaw detector USM Go is available with joystick operation or as the new USM Go+ with arrow-key operation. The USM Go and the new USM Go+ are both extremely portable and robust ultrasonic flaw detectors. Both units have a small protected hand-held housing with the biggest A-Scan display in its class and features which are essential for inspections based on common codes and standards. The USM Go is the first choice when top UT performance, combined with ultra-portability and one-hand joystick operation is required and furthermore has the option to upgrade to a thickness gauge. The new USM Go + is the youngest member of the USM Go family equipped with an arrow-keypad and the latest industrial electronics. The state-of-the-art technology contributes to the improved UT performance of the new USM Go + .One prime example is the outstanding Near Surface Resolution which allows a reliable detection of defects located just below the surface of the test piece. Apart from the different operational devices the joystick or the arrow-keypad, the operation and the menus of both instruments are the same. The accessories are inter-changeable with both instruments. And even the stored instrument settings of the USM Go can be used with the new USM Go + and vice versa which will ease any ultrasonic inspector’s work but will ensure that proven settings can continue to be used with new equipment and even shared with other USM Go / USM Go+ inspectors.
The Phasor series ultrasonic flaw detectors comes available in four different models with upgraded features and benefits. Phasor CV is a code-compliant conventional ultrasonic flaw detector that can be UPGRADED to Phasor 16/16 Weld or to the 16/64 Phasor XS. Upgrading to phased array is a quick and easy software upgrade to Phasor 16/16 Weld or Phasor XS. No changes to the base unit hardware are required and utilizing the same simple menu-driven interface as the Phasor CV model, training is minimal. Combined with phased array transducers, both platforms can solve your most demanding inspection applications in less time at an affordable price.
Phasor 16/16 Weld and Phasor XS can switch to conventional UT quickly so that inspectors can use any standard transducer to evaluate detected flaws (locating and sizing) to any specified standard or test instruction.
The Phasor CV/DM combines a phased array imaging device and a conventional flaw detector into one instrument, with a phased array probe, which allows significant increases confidence in corrosion inspection data.
We offer a complete line of standard ultrasonic transducers and accessories for virtually all industry segments and applications. Our full range of contact, angle beam, immersion, and TR (dual) ultrasound transducers are manufactured and tested according to both North American and European standards. When a unique solution is required, custom-designed ultrasonic transducers will be quoted on request.
